WE Celebrate Award Finalist
CINCINNATI, November 12, 2009 – The Griffin Tate Group, Inc. (www.griffintate.com) today announced that President Karen Tate, PMI Fellow, MBA, PMP, was selected as a finalist for the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber WE Celebrate Awards in the "2009 Woman of the Year – Entrepreneur" category.
The WE Celebrate Awards honor women and women-owned businesses for their achievement, innovation, social responsibility and mentoring. Winners will be announced at the WE Celebrate Awards Breakfast on December 6, 2009. The event will take place at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, downtown Cincinnati, and begins at 8:00 a.m. EST.

Tate was selected for her achievements across four categories: professional accomplishments, community involvement, leadership and support for women. She founded The Griffin Tate Group, Inc. (TGTG) in 1994 following extensive experience in the corporate world as an engineer, project manager, designer and director of quality while working for companies such as Bechtel Corporation, Belcan Engineering, Kentucky Fried Chicken and General Electric. TGTG provides practical project management training to professionals around the world.

This is PMI's highest and most prestigious award that is presented to an individual. Over the course of the last 40 years, the organization has honored fewer than 100 people with this award from a project management community of over 500,000 members and credential holders.
