A seasoned educator and practitioner, Manon Deguire brings over 25 years experience delivering consultancy, training and research services in value, project and program management to her role as an instructor at Griffin Tate Group. Her attentive approach to learning inspires corporate and university audiences around the world. Manon is a member of the PMI Registered Education Provider Advisory Group. She works both in French and English and has extensive experience with individual and group coaching and facilitation.
Fluent in French and English, Manon teaches a broad range of courses, from PMP® prep classes to Ph.D. level courses to seminars for PMI. She is a managing partner of Valense Ltd., a PMI® Global Registered Education Provider. Her expertise in the field of clinical and organizational psychology encompasses work in Canada, the UK and Europe. Manon is also an adjunct professor with the Lille Graduate School of Management where she teaches and conducts research on decision making in complex project and program environments at the ESC Lille Business School and Polyfinance in Casablanca. Manon’s ongoing involvement in academia, and work as a practitioner with local and multinational organizations, has led to several individual and co-authored publications and presentations.
Previously, Manon worked in both the private and public education and health sectors. She trained initially as an occupational therapist, then as a clinical and organizational psychologist. She directed the clinical education program at McGill University from 1988 to 1996 where she was also a faculty member in medicine (with 120 affiliated hospital departments).
Manon is a PMI® member where she was also director-at-large (professional development) of the PMI ® EdSIG. She is a member of the Academy of Management (AoM) and of the Decision Sciences Institute (DSI) among scores of other professional organizations. Manon is currently working on her Ph.D. in Programmes and Strategy, at ESC Lille, France. She holds a Master of Science in Clinical Psychology, a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, and a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy from the Université de Montréal.
